       Jiachen(Sophia) began her art career in her early childhood when she painted Chinese traditional watercolor paintings. She had her first solo watercolor paintings exhibition when she was nine years old. Later, she became more interested in European oil paintings, such as Rococo and Romantic master’s paintings masters inspired her to paint in a realistic style. Most of Sophia’s works are a combination of nature scenes with animals and human figures. She started to learn painting skill by herself. Her interests were many; nature science, history and mythology, European architecture.

      Sophia loves to capture details in her art works. Her signature works include fanciful depictions of plants and girls. Her goal is to create illustrations that convey stories and express the beauty of nature. She has created illustrations and designed logos for several companies. Art is just another way to express her emotions or ideals. Most of Sophia’s works are done in Watercolor and oil. However she also works in color pencils and acrylics. Besides paintings, she also makes sculptures and enjoys Fashion design.
